The DDA Collectibles 1:24 Scale Ford XW Falcon Ute “Standard” plastic model kit (SKU: DDA244K) is an intermediate-level Skill Level 3 project that faithfully reproduces Australia’s rugged vintage utility workhorse. Note that “Stand” in the title is the common hobby-shop shorthand for the Standard factory ride-height version (distinguishing it from DDA’s “Slammed” version).
Model Specifications & Features
This kit celebrates the classic factory utility look rather than a heavily modified custom build, featuring several functional layout details:
  • Opening Components: Re-engineered with an opening bonnet and a fully functional drop-down tailgate. 

 

  • Body Construction: Uses a sealed cabin body shell (the passenger doors remain fixed shut) to maximize structural strength and keep panels perfectly aligned. 

 

  • Under-Body Realism: Includes a highly detailed, screen-accurate replica spare wheel compartment and a separate fuel tank bay underneath the tray. 

 

  • Total Parts Count: Packaged with over 150 precision injection-moulded pieces cast in uncoloured plastic, mixed with real metal axle pins and clear window parts.

 

  • Requirements: Supplied unpainted and completely unassembled. You must supply your own model glue/cement, plastic side-cutters, and paint sets.
