Vallejo Model Colours contains 208 colours and an extensive assortment of mediums and varnishes, designed especially for Miniatures and Model painting.

The colours have been chosen with the help and advice of the best model painters from many countries.

Vallejo Model Colour has been formulated with permanent pigments for fine arts; all colours are completely lightfast and opaque, (with the exception of the fluorescent and transparent colours, which are semi-opaque).

Water based and alcohol based metallics are available, water base for a nice finish and ease of use, alcohol base for greater lustre and brilliance.

The consistency of Model Colour allows for an extremely smooth and uniform paint film, with no trace of brushstrokes.

The water based formula of Model Colour has been specifically developed for adherence on difficult surfaces such as metal and plastic, but the product is not toxic, non- flammable, and does not give off noxious fumes.

Errors can be corrected immediately with water.

Model Colour dries quickly to a matte, even and waterproof finish.

Hints: Use medium retarder (sold separately), to delay drying time of Model Colour, mix a few drops with the colour, or dip brush into retarder on the palette. Colours will not change their consistency. Useful for wet on wet techniques and reducing skin formation on the palette.
