The Kyosho Fazer D2 Toyota 86 GT Tuned Ver. Lightning Red 2WD Electric Drift Car is a 1/10 scale, rear-wheel-drive (RWD) specialist drift platform. Unlike Kyosho’s standard 4WD Fazer Mk2 touring chassis, the Fazer D2 chassis configuration is specifically optimized for modern counter-steer drifting.
Mechanical Architecture & Drift Features

- Drivetrain Layout: Rear two-wheel drive (RWD) with a solid rear spool axle to enable smooth slide transitions and consistent drift dynamics.
- Electronics & Gyro Stabilization: Features a factory-installed KRG-331D receiver with a built-in steering and throttle gyro. The gyro automatically manages counter-steer inputs, allowing beginners to maintain extended slides while manually adjusting sensitivity directly via the transmitter.
- Motor & ESC Positioning: Powered by a user-friendly, high-mounted G22 brushed motor to induce a predictable chassis body roll during hard corners. The 60A electronic speed controller (ESC) is mounted entirely at the rear of the car to maximize rear traction.
- Suspension Geometry: Equipped with extended front double-wishbone suspension arms that deliver maximum steering angle and adjustable caster.
Ultra-Scale Plus Body Details
- Scale Styling: Pre-painted in factory Lightning Red with custom aerodynamic tuning enhancements, a carbon-fibre style bonnet wrap, and a rear spoiler.
- Concealed Mounts: Utilizes a clipless body mounting design, completely eliminating visible body post holes on the exterior shell for pristine realism.
- Scale Hardware: Includes moulded plastic light buckets (LED light kit sold separately), scale side mirrors, bumpers, and scale replicas of popular RAYS TE37V drift wheels wrapped in hard plastic drift tyres.
